Fabric Genomics, Inc., a leader in AI-based clinical decision support platforms for genomics-driven precision medicine, today announced the appointment of Jyoti Palaniappan to its executive leadership team in the role of Chief Commercial Officer. He brings more than 20 years of experience delivering high growth for innovative healthcare companies to Fabric Genomics.

“I am honored to be working with the team at Fabric Genomics and look forward to collaborating with our innovative customers who are seeking better solutions that enable them to scale their precision medicine programs and develop cost-effective clinical offerings that help improve outcomes for the patient communities they serve.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Jyoti to Fabric as we continue to scale our commercial organization,” said Martin Reese, PhD, Co-founder and CEO of Fabric Genomics. “Jyoti’s extensive leadership and deep experience growing high-performing commercial organizations at the intersection of healthcare and technology will be essential as we expand globally.”

Prior to joining Fabric, Palaniappan was Senior Vice President, Diagnostics at Adaptive Biotechnologies where he brought to market in less than one year the first T-cell based diagnostic test, T-Detect COVID, in partnership with Microsoft. Before this, he served as Chief Commercial Officer for Bigfoot Biomedical, where he built all the foundational commercial capabilities for the innovative start-up.

“Fabric’s reach and scale is expanding significantly, and its product launches are multiplying, which requires the commercial team to scale and support such growth and drive the organization to excellent execution,” said John Stuelpnagel, Co-founder and Chairman of Fabric Genomics. “The clinical genomics space is reaching a point where interpreting the data is as valuable as generating the data, and Jyoti is uniquely qualified strategically to lead the expansion of the Fabric commercial team.”

Palaniappan also spent 11 years at Abbott where he helped build high-performing commercial organizations and launched market defining, rapid growth products like FreeStyle Libre. Prior to Abbott, he led global and US commercial organizations for Thermo Fisher Scientific, as well as provided strategic consulting services at McKinsey & Company. Palaniappan holds an MBA and MPH from Emory University and a BS in Biology from University of Michigan.

“Precision medicine is making exciting progress across disease areas, and we are pleased to be working with leading healthcare organizations who see the value of genomic data as not only a tool for diagnosing disease, but also managing patient health over a lifetime,” said Palaniappan. “I am honored to be working with the team at Fabric Genomics and look forward to collaborating with our innovative customers who are seeking better solutions that enable them to scale their precision medicine programs and develop cost-effective clinical offerings that help improve outcomes for the patient communities they serve.”
